Nielsen set to release streaming data for new use in TVs

Nielsen is trying to make more of the data advertisers want more readily available. The media measurement company is expected to announce it will issue streaming data from connected TV sets. The information with give advertisers more information in their efforts to understand how audiences are behaving across a range of different screens.
This is interesting as it opens more ‘big data’ for TV streaming allowing for increased targeted measure. Linking this to the potential growing trend of shoppable TV, as being tested by Netflix per the MediaHub article posted here, if this grows this could allow for a potentially highly targeted use of TV Streaming.
